CHARITY EVENT HOSTED BY HOPE GATE FOUNDATION IN COLLABORATION WITH REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD

The Hope Gate Foundation for Human Development, in collaboration with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), successfully hosted a three-day charity event from September 19 to 21, 2025. The initiative was aimed at providing relief, welfare support, and community development through medical outreach, subsidized charity sales, and recreational activities for families. In attendance were a total of 86 Registered people,14 kids and 72 Adults of which 55 were women and 17 were men.  It took place on September 19th – 21st, 2025 at No. 33 Funsho Owoyemi Street off Olaniye Street Abule Egba.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

1. Medical Outreach

The event commenced on Friday, September 19th, with a comprehensive medical outreach program. Beneficiaries were warmly received and had access to free vital checks, including blood pressure, Blood sugar, and other basic health assessments. Medical personnel were on ground to provide consultations and health advice, ensuring participants gained not only immediate assistance but also knowledge for maintaining long-term wellness.

2. Charity Market

A major highlight was the charity market, where essential food items and household goods were made available to the community at highly subsidized rates.

Food Products: Rice, elubo (white yam flour), potatoes and garri were sold at affordable prices to ensure accessibility to all.

Household Items: Several domestic necessities were provided to support family needs.

Clothing: A wide variety of clothes were distributed at no cost, further easing the financial burden of many households. The turnout was remarkable, with individuals and families

enthusiastically participating in the market. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude and relief as many left with essential goods for their homes.

3. Children’s Entertainment

In line with the inclusive nature of the event, provisions were made for children’s engagement and recreation. Entertainment activities included:

-A bouncing castle playground

-Music and fun games

-Supervised play sessions that allowed children to feel celebrated while their parents attended the medical and market services.

This addition created a family-friendly atmosphere, ensuring the younger generation was not left out of the experience.

4. Thanksgiving Service and Closing Sales

The event culminated on Sunday, September 21st, with Thanksgiving service hosted by RCCG. It was a spirit-filled gathering where participants expressed appreciation to God for the success of the outreach and the blessings received. The closing day also featured final charity sales, giving those who had missed earlier opportunities a chance to benefit.

IMPACT

The charity event had a profound impact on the community by:

-Providing free and subsidized access to healthcare.

-Easing financial pressure on families through affordable food products and free clothing distribution.

-Creating a joyful and inclusive environment where children were entertained and families supported.

-Strengthening community ties and fostering a culture of care, generosity, and gratitude.

CONCLUSION

The Hope Gate Foundation and the Redeemed Christian Church of God jointly demonstrated their commitment to community service and humanitarian values. The September 2025 charity event was a resounding success, leaving lasting memories in the hearts of participants and setting a precedent for future outreach programs.
